Waterblade Warrior

from Odysee Black Series Volume IV by Andy Odysee

/

about

With Waterblade Warrior, we go further back. This is an earlier production from 2015 and draws very obvious inspiration from some of the original Odysee artist’s Kung-fu based tracks. A deep Bulb bass sets up the rhythm amidst a backdrop of oriental flutes, bowed pianos and sword sounds. The whirlwind of drums let fly as the track drops switching occasionally to lighter breaks in classic ‘call & response’ style.
As the tune breaks down, Kotos and temple bells echo against a backdrop of running water. The vocal challenge suddenly rings out….“What I wonder is how long you’d last against my sword!”, and the track attacks once more with all the swift and deadly force of a katana wielding master!
